BRANDING

Holy Family Fire — Brand Engine

Twenty years in, Holy Family had strong programs and a loyal community but no system for marketing them. I rebuilt the brand foundation and created the infrastructure that turned fragmented creative into a unified, scalable marketing engine.

Project Year :

2023–2025

Role :

Creative & Digital Marketing Director

Scope:

Brand Strategy · Campaign Systems · Content

Approach:

Positioning · Alignment · Execution

Problem :

Holy Family had everything except a way to show it.

Strong academics. Championship athletics. A loyal, faith-driven community. The school was winning. The brand wasn't telling anyone.

Twenty years of drift had piled up. No brand guide. No approved assets. Every coach, vendor, and department running their own version. The result wasn't just messy design. It was marketing friction. Every campaign needed more explaining. Every vendor needed more direction. And every family saw a slightly different school.

That's a positioning problem. And positioning problems cost enrollment.

Solution :

I didn't clean it up. I rebuilt it into a system.

Logos, color, typography, templates, print standards, apparel rules, social assets, vendor guidance — all of it documented in Holy Family's first-ever brand guide, published July 2023.

But the guide was never the point. The point was infrastructure. A system admissions, advancement, athletics, and leadership could actually run without me in the room. Faster campaigns. Cleaner execution. One consistent school across every touchpoint, from the enrollment funnel to the capital campaign.

Built to scale. That was the brief.

Challenge :

A brand system is only as good as its adoption.

This one needed buy-in from everyone. Leadership, athletics, admissions, advancement, coaches, vendors, parents, alumni, students. Every group with its own priorities and its own history with the old look.

So I led it like a marketing leader, not a designer. Clear standards. Real training. Direct communication. Stakeholder alignment at every level.

The goal was never to win a design debate. It was to build something people would actually use. When the guide published, the conversation changed from "I prefer this" to "this is the standard."

Summary :

Holy Family now runs one brand across everything.

Enrollment, advancement, athletics, events, digital, print, video, social, apparel, signage. Still active. Still scaling. The system supports $11.7M+ in annual fundraising and enrollment goals, and anchored the brand refresh behind a $5.7M capital campaign.

In 2025 alone, enrollment beat goal by 15% and fundraising by 20%.

The brand didn't build that culture. It finally represents it. That's what real marketing infrastructure does.
