CAMPAIGN

Chu Vision — Full Spectrum

A specialty healthcare practice with two very different patient audiences and a national professional conference for optometrists and clinicians. I built the marketing infrastructure across both sides.

Project Year :

2018–2020

Role :

Multimedia Marketing Specialist

Scope:

Patient Growth · B2B · Campaigns

Approach:

Segmentation · Clean Funnels · Trust

Problem :

One practice. Four audiences. Zero room for a generic message.

The surgeon was nationally respected. The procedures were advanced. The clinical reputation was real. But the marketing had to reach four very different people at once: younger LASIK candidates, older cataract patients, referring optometrists, and the clinicians filling a national conference hall.

Each one needed a different message, a different channel, a different path to "yes."

The job was to build a marketing system that felt human to patients, credible to professionals, and consistent everywhere — web, email, social, print, referral, and event. With no dedicated marketing team to lean on.

Solution :

So I segmented everything.

On the patient side, I built distinct campaigns for LASIK and cataract — separate messaging, visuals, testimonials, landing pages, email, and social. Then connected it all to the CRM so a curious visitor became a booked consultation.

On the professional side, I owned referral marketing, partner materials, and the full visual identity for OCU 2020, a national conference serving 200+ optometrists and clinicians. Print, email, signage, digital graphics, app assets, promotional content — the entire attendee journey.

Two audiences. Two playbooks. One brand that never blinked.

The result: a 200% lift in social engagement and a marketing operation that punched well above its headcount.

Challenge :

Healthcare marketing has no margin for hype.

Every claim has to hold up. Every testimonial handled with care. Every campaign has to move people without overpromising or cutting clinical credibility.

That takes more than creative range. It takes judgment. Knowing how to segment, how to build trust, how to support conversion, and how to keep one message aligned from first impression through follow-up care.

Get it wrong and you don't lose a click. You lose a patient's trust.

Summary :

Chu Vision was full-spectrum marketing in one role.

Consumer healthcare. Professional referral relationships. National event promotion. I built the segmented campaigns, the CMS landing pages, the CRM-supported communication, the email and social, the event identity, and the audience-specific messaging behind all of it.

The outcome was a stronger, more consistent brand across the entire patient, referral, and event journey — and proof that one operator with the right system can run marketing usually staffed by a team.
